Bank Manager: Old National Bank
Sandra graduated from Warsaw High School in 1995 and then earned her BS in Organizational Leadership from Goshen College through the adult degree program. As a Latina, there was not much emphasis on a college education, especially as a female. She says that she wanted to compete for her benefit. Sandra began her career in banking in 1996 with First National Bank and after holding several positions, started managing the Pierceton office in 2000. She is now the branch manager for Warsaw's Old National Bank.
Sandra says she is a board member of Gradway because she knows firsthand what it feels like to need someone's support to continue education. She feels that the relationships our coaches are able to build with these kids is fundamental to their succss and their high school completion. With the many personal challenges they face their education is not always a first priority.
As a community, she says it is our responsibility to foster a caring environment for young adults, to shape their future and help them become contributing citizens. In a small way, she wants to be a part of the opportunity Gradway presents to the at-risk kids and build postiive change in their lives as they learn to become positive role models for their future families.
