Promoting Graduation, One Relationship at a Time
With a common goal, to increase graduation rates for the three high schools, and later a fourth, located in the county - Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw Community, Wawasee and Whitko schools - KC-ED was formed.
Gradway, formerly called KC-Ed, is a local organization working in four area school districts to combat high school dropout rates. Our school corporations; Warsaw Community, Wawasee, Tippecanoe Valley, and Whitko, collaborate together through coaching and mentoring students who are at risk for dropping out.
Our mission is to promote graduation one relationship at a time! The coaches strive to create positive, healthy relationships with their students to encourage them toward graduation.
Receiving a diploma provides students with options after high school. It opens doors to higher paying jobs, further education, and military options. Across all age levels, our students are working with Gradway Coaches to create their future stories!
***This idea was derived from a National Dropout Prevention Network Convention. It is funded by grants and donations by local businesses and individuals.
